About
We will introduce the art of weaving by using frame looms or cardboard, a selection of different yarns and/or fabric strips. You can make a placemat or a bag, a small blanket or rug, and there are several different shapes you could choose to make. (And you will probably be able to make several). We meet afternoons (and we will have different projects for the next workshop, so you can sign up multiple times)! All materials are included in your program fee. Class time is Thursdays 2-3 pm. We recommend this class for ages 8+. When you sign up for this class, your registration is for 4 weeks. If you would like to continue after that, you can sign up for another session and make more projects! Your skills will build and you can make more advanced projects with more experience! Each session is crafted to spark imagination, build fine motor skills, and foster a sense of accomplishment as students create their own woven masterpieces. With small class sizes, every child receives personalized attention and can progress at their own pace, expressing their own artistic vision. Children will be introduced to basic weaving techniques, enjoy working with different textures, and gain confidence in their creative abilities. This introductory course is perfect for children with no prior experience and is a wonderful way to nurture artistic talent, encourage self-expression, and provide a memorable, skill-building experience.
